Offset body, 3/4 scale. Original frets and pickups. Missing a knob, some scratches and dings here and there, but it sounds great and looks awesome. Original case comes with it, although the latches don't lock. Must be sold by 7/25 and picked up that evening or before.

Sweet!  Hope you get it.  I've always wanted one of those, but need it like a hole in the head.  Love the way they feel/play/sound, though.

Hope you get it Dennis! I have always wanted a Mustang, I regret passing on a GC Blowout  MIJ Mustang for $350 a while back. I did play the new Squire Mustang the other day, Black and Maple I was very impressed. I liked it better than a 70's 'Stang and not as much as a newer MIJ. Having said that $ 300 is a KILLER price, go, run strike while the iron is hot!

Hadn't heard from the guy so I assume it's sold by now. For that price it oughta be! I didn't even see it, Bobby (Hornisse) emailed me from Austin and told me about it.

Bummer!  Sounded like a great deal.  I've got all the parts for a mustang bass in the shop.   Gotta piece it together some time!

I don't think I've ever stared at a Mustang II photo that long before!   ;D

Padded dashes, dual headlights... wait, there's a car in that pic?

That's one car that seriously tempts me to sell my 1983 280ZX Turbo.  There are just enough Mustang GTs around to be affordable.

Dangit.

But.....what do I REALLY lust after?  A new Camaro in that incredible light-up-the-night Lime Green Metallic.  I guess it's called "Synergy Green".

Always loved the Zs.  I have a 76 (sorta on topic- but just missing the models  :D)

Here's a look.  Right now it's in the garage because it was running like crap and had a broken exhaust manifold stud.  I have the manifolds half off, and while I'm pulling the broken stud and re-installing the manifolds, I will pull the fuel injectors and have them tested to make sure they're working.  Mechanically it's still good at 126K miles.  I have a couple of very pesky electrical problems I've been playing with for more than a year. The most puzzling is that I can't get the interior blower motor to run for more than 30 seconds, and if it's over 80 degrees the fan won't run at all.  Strangest electrical problem I've ever seen, and I have tried replacement parts and quite a bit of testing.  I have had this car since 1990.

I owned a '61 Falcon, it was a much better car than the '72 Pinto I took on a 700 mile round trip to Miami.

My best friend in high school had one with that big engine and it rocked!

I had a Mustang II and it was a fun car to drive but not the real deal in my mind.

Not a Mustang II fan boy by any means, but I like to play Devil's advocate.  8)

The II DID take the Mustang back to its original roots - a fun little car that most anyone could afford, and that could be optioned in a wide variety of styles. By '71, they turned into hulking gas hogs built on the Torino platform. Not really what Lee had envisioned. My first car was a brown, '75 Pinto with a silly putty tan vinyl interior.

I wasn't a big fan, but I bought it brand new from the dealer at the end of the model year cuz it was that ugly metallic green with matching interior.  i got it for practically nothing and drove the crap out of it.  I actually traded in  (I hate to admit this) a Gremlin on it!  It was a fun car to drive, it didn't have any balls really, but it could get up and go with the manual tranny it had in it.

That would have been about the same time I bought my only new car - a 1977 Chevy Monza Spyder with 305 V8, 4-speed and positrac.  A bit nose heavy with the V8, but a great handling vehicle with good scoot. Cost me $3700.

It was this exact color combo (found this shot online, not my car but 100% identical...)

I liked those Monzas, but a little too pricey for me at the time.  I can't believe I found a picture online of my II.

That Monza stayed in my family for about 25 years; it went from me to my dad, to my sister, to my brother, and finally he and his wife sold it to a Chevy collector in the Seattle area.  They were afraid to let their oldest son (a very wild child at that time) drive it, and they sold it before he got his driver's license.  That was a very good call, as he was no respecter of cars.

Well, dang!!  My wife had the same car - Plymouth Turismo Duster, Garnet red, manual transmission.  Pretty quick car.

I bought the truck version, '84 Dodge Rampage, in the late '90s from the son of it's first owner.  Had less than 50k miles on it.  Drove it from San Francisco to North Carolina up to Connecticut.  Left it at my importers while I went on a long business trip to China.  Unasked, they periodically ran it to keep the battery from going flat.  Caught fire and was a total loss.  Great mini truck with a lot of room behind the seats.  Mitsu motor and trans.

Oh man, yeah we had the Plymouth version - the Scamp - at a large apartment complex I worked at in my 20s. It was a handy little runabout for the 40 acre property.
