I'm aware of issues that have been brought up elsewhere but Dave has already made clear he'd like to avoid any escalation of the issue here. I don't see anything out of line in John's post. That is his bass and he didn't do anything other than to acknowledge it with his own picture. It'd be good if we all could leave the rest of it alone now.

yeah i know and the point is you and Fang are both prolly pretty nice guys. missed communications has cost me some really fine girlfriends in the past (sigh) and that is not cool. good basses are exceedingly difficult, on the same echelon of difficulty, to come by. Dave (his honchoness in here) is pretty astute and Fang is okay as long as he gets his daily allotment of Special Kitty chunky chicken and tuna (retired people living on fixed incomes have to eat sparingly).

so double amen and stay tuned for the next blazing trailer from his sniperness (me) in another thread. ;D

Dave's, going out Monday, ThunderBuckers, Hipshot detuner and Ultralites.  The rings are here, gotta polish them and install pick guard.  I'm setting it up tuned to Eb, sounds good!

It's 99 degrees F, 100 with heat index...in...early...June

Haha, thanks. I think only you and Kenny have caught it so far, or at least you're the only ones who have commented on it.

I'm still chatting with Carlo on the decal design. I was going to put a 70's Precision logo on there after I got it, but I like what Carlo is doing and have no problems advertising his product at all.

1+

Carlo has accomplished a lot since he and i first talked almost a year ago about his projects at the time. the T-Bird pup reproduction and the reviews he has gotten, esp from GOT, is refreshing to say the least. his finishes are to be respected and his originality and talent is a good thing to observe. first time in my life i am actually liking a seafoam green anything.

i will have to wait till some of my projects are done though.

Just finished, awaiting lacquer top coat.  Yeah, RED symbolizes good fortune (basically money) in China, not a bad thing.  I decided to stylize the lettering after Bassvirtuoso suggested a few things
