outstanding ... i do not see a spec of orange peel on that. when i did black i got enough orange peel i had to write an apology to Tropicana followed by hours of sanding, polishing and reshooting.

great work Carlo

i am really liking that reworked bridge.

This is all subjective as hell but:
IMO the Barts have a little more bass response and output  than the SDs which sound a little closer to a Reverse Tbird but are not as loud.  The  4 wire Artec doesn't have a very wide frequency response, I have some 2 wire Artecs that I think sound better.  The closest sounding pup to an original TBird I've used is the EMG Hz passive both for sound and output.  The TBird pups are the loudest. Bang for the Buck an SD set is the best IMO. Around $120 for a pair.

I'm looking forward to what you think of the Barts.

Carlo, I know you provided a disclaimer but with a comment like that I am waiting for you to be struck down with the hammer of Thor by the anti EMG Democratic Front that prevails in our glorius Outpost

The EMG dislike is always directed at the original internally active EMGs. I haven't heard anything negative about the EMG Hz Passives, and I'll keep an open mind about them.

Yep, to each his own.  The Hz's are worth a listen.  Around $60 used on Fleabay.

Scott, I've got another JAEbird in primer about ready to go, just say the word ;D

Were you going to start a new thread with pricing and options etc?  Somehow I recall that was the plan when you first hatched the idea of building.
Cheers

Check cataldobasses.com (click the link below) for the 'Standard' price and specs.  Email me with options you'd like.  I'm using Jim's pups on this one and the neck pup is moved closer to the neck.  I'm giving a credit for the pups and no charge on the relocation.  Thanks!
