Any Beer drinkers here?

Always been a Guinness Draught guy forever, seems like alot of the microbrews in the US are just putting out the
strongest IPAS, the hops are soo strong resiny its like eating a bag of weed. Idk, anyone into this stuff? do i just have an undeveloped palette?

Sam Adams Noble Pils - Never that big of a fan of any sam adams beers. But being a fan of a good czech pilsner i gave this a shot, WOW!,
this stuff is great! nice and mellow, very brite.

Wychwood Hobgoblin from the UK, this beer gets some bad reviews but I love it,
very very balanced beer, nice amber with some malt.

Red seal ale - nice amber.

Victory Prima pils and storm king. both great.

i just got home from a A.F/Antodote/Urban Waste show kinda drunk and i had some buds and an amstel someone gave me. though my roomate and i did drink some rum before we went out. beer rules but the free kind is the best

Augustiner Helles is the beer for me, but you can find it only in Munchen...

I like the stuff that New Belgium Brewing Company puts out - not just Fat Tire but some of their other seasonal stuff is pretty good too. There are definitely some weird beers out there though! Some of the Frank Zappa commemorative beers were pretty nasty!

I'm a beer drinker too.
My favorite bottled pilsner is Dommelsch.
My favorite draft is Grolsch or Lindeboom.

And in the summertime I love the Belgian white beers such as Dentergems and Hoegaarden.
Hoegaarden also makes a lovely heeavy beer called Verboden Vrucht (Forbidden Fruit).

I like Fat Tire & Abbey also. Just bought 8 twelve packs of Lienie's 1888 seasonal. I liked Big Butt, but it looks like they discontinued it in place of 1888. Moose Drool & Sam Adams are always good. Of the beer's I've tried lately, Michelob Ultra was the worst by far!  , I like my beer thick! This year 1888 came with a free pencil, the head is suppose to be so thick that it will hold a pencil up!

Woh! Now we're talking. Once you get me started on this subject, it's hard to stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Being from "Blighty" we don't get Sam Adams but when I am in MA (Boston) and PA that's the one I go for.
Any friends that come over from the US or Canada, I erm..... Educate them.
They are never the same again.
If anyone is interested, I can list my favourites (favorites, if you are over the pond) which you get get in some
specialist shops over there.

At the time, there were more real ales on offer than anywhere else in the country.
For those who are squeamish, look away now.
REAL Beer/Ale, should be served without a big frothy head and be just under room temperature!

For those who have to have it chilled, I love REAL Czech beers. Mmmm.
As I write this, I am enjoying a Brakspear, out of a bottle. Mm, Mm, Mm!

In the Uk we are very lucky with our small brewers and they produce some great Bitters, if I was going for a bottled beer in UK it would be Abbot Ale or a Sheppard Neame or an award winning Summer Lightning brews which are excellent, and most possibly available overseas, give them a try.
   When in Germany its got to be Pot's Landbier its awesome stuff.

Have tried some nice micro brews in Boston and New Hampshire but can't remember the names.

Our favorite from New Belgium is Trippel - akin to the heavenly nectar of Trappist monks. We like everything they do and maybe should consider retiring nearby.

A new find is Southern Tier Brewing Co. in Lakewood, NY (upstate) near my hometown.  Our favorite is Iniquity Black Ale, and a holiday brew called Krampus. They have many other unusual ones we haven't tried yet.

Then there is Great Lakes Brewing Co. in Cleveland. The Edmund Fitzgerald Porter is great, as is the t-shirt design. Their line-up is a bit more "serious" I would say.

I love a soothing Guinness on nights when we're gigging!

Being in the UK you get all the GOOD stuff, Im so jealous of you guys that you can get REAL Cider!, Even the cheap stuff to me is amazing,
I have been looking for Scrumpy Jack cider in the states for over 5 years,

I'm also fond of most of the Northwest microbrews - from Red Hook through Hale's Ale.

Actually, I walked through the first location of Hale's Ale with Mike Hale when he was a county Extension agent in Colville, WA.  He was in the process of outfitting the shop with stainless tanks that came from a defunct dairy nearby.  That's a course of a lot of start-up microbrew gear, as much of the dairy stuff is stainless.  I've been very pleased to see Hale's Ale go big in the Pacific NW.
