Post by: Rhythm N. Bliss on March 10, 2008, 03:43:39 AM
Didn't play bass for a coupla days!! Been busy with spring cleaning & this an' that.
Got together with some friends this weekend & had some fun, did 400 situps yesterday & weightlifted 4 tons!!!!
Now I'm playin' bass again & it feels SO goood I just had to tell y'all!
Hope none of you are going 2 whole days without playin' bass!

Even if I'm busy with other stuff I can always find time to plug in and play.

It's very unusual for me to not play for 2 whole days but...

Separation makes the heart grow fonder. :D

I've been bad.  Our band last played NYE and we rehearsed 2 weeks ago to learn some new songs.  I had not picked up the bass in over a month! :-\  Last night I put on the local oldies station and played along for 2 hours though.

I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand on 3/5.  Wasn't able to play until about a week ago, but it's coming back to me...  :)    Hate it when I can't play.  Gotta do my left hand next.  :-\

At least the long-scales will start getting more action now!

Take It Easy, Joe! I wish you a swift & complete recovery.
Do ya have a keyboard you can play?

Thanks Terr.  I meant to say I had it on 2/5 -so far so good, though.

Do ya have a keyboard you can play?

Man is that a loaded question!   ;D

Yeah, Joe has "couple" of keyboards to play. I think he's secretly starting a music museum in his house!

Every day before I leave for work I pick up my bass, even if it's just for a few min. It's like kissing the wife good morning.

I think it feels good anytime to be playing. I try to get in at least one hour a day.

I pulled out the 8-string for a few minutes last night.  I like to visit all my basses at least once in a while.

I think I'm more myseld with a bass strapped on.

I rarely play on my own. It's nice if you're a guitarist, but I just don't like playing bass on my own. I also have this tiny twp room appartment, so I can't make that much noice.

But I always have some basses around here and I pick 'm up almost every day. just doing something while talking or watching the telly or something.
