baby blue SG RI at Ishibashi
« on: September 21, 2009, 09:53:55 PM »
Including shipping, works out at just over US$700 - and includes Gibson hard case.

Stock number is 326302701.  You can search for it here ... http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/u_box/e/

If I hadn't just bought a faded cherry SG RI I'd hit this one.
Cheers

Jules bought one just like that. They were from a "Japan only" limited run which also included pastel Pink/coral & canary yellow.

yeah I love my bluey... there are times when vintage just doesn't work (on girlfriends, children and singers) and only a nice colour will make them notice it. Everyone should buy at least one bass for it's finish.....

great price too - someone snap it up!

I wonder if this is NOS or have they issued the Japan-only pastel series again.

These were matte finishes, maybe not as basic as the faded but still less expensive to finish than the standards, thus the lower price.

For various Hellenic and gender-based reasons Konstantinos is partial to all things blue:

This just in from Ishibashi .....

"And the neck of the bass is warped to forward from the joint of the neck.
It wont effect the playing for now, but we can not gurantee how it will effect in
future. "

I guess that explains the great price, so I'm going to pass.

Neck not correctly set? That happens very, very seldom with Gibson for all their quality issues. Sounds a bit like someone not understanding how three-point and truss rod adjustment counteract, but I wouldn't take the gamble either.
