I love how the back looks with the contouring. That'd make a really pretty front of an instrument.  A cool variant of your RNR.
Basses: Gibson lpb-1, Gibson dc jr tribute, Greco thunderbird, Danelectro dc, Ibanez blazer.  Amps: genz benz shuttle 6.0, EA CXL110, EA CXL112, Spark 40.  Guitars: Danelectro 59XT, rebuilt cheap LP copy

Thanks, guys!

Here's a clip made less than an hour after customer unpacked the bass.

Sounds as good as it looks. Multi-course basses are like an instrument unto themselves. I tried using my 8 string in my band, but our violinist and guitarist have such massive, saturated overdrive tones, the effect just gets lost.

Thanks, Tom.  You're right, doesn't leave a lot of space for other instruments unless everyone's on the same page.    But in the right hands I think there's a place for them if you're a composer and building your own tracks in a studio.  Can eliminate the necessity for arpeggios or sustained chords played on keys or guitar...bass, not so much!  This one's spaced extra wide between the courses so you can pick out a bass line with upstrokes if you work at it.

All in all, fun to play!

What are the gauges and tuning like? I love how it sounds.

Four courses: Eee Aaa Ddd Ggg   The lighter strings are an octave higher.

I spaced the courses really tight so it's easier to fret three strings at once.
