Post by: morrow on November 01, 2021, 04:56:37 AM: I just came across a builder from Montreal , doing things a little differently . Mostly guitars although there is a bass model . I like the bridge design . Some have a clear cover over the control cavity so you can see inside . Simple clean design .
He’s taking orders again .

I like his overall approach , but he’s positioned himself in the top end of the snack bracket . He just started taking new orders again last Friday . It must be working .

Some builders get trapped building Fender/Gibson-adjacent designs or Fender/Gibson-adjacent designs with a gaudy art deco feel, etc. This guy is building instruments that look like they should be on a space station, albeit a 1970s space station. They have that sort of bravely-making-progress look to them that '70s Shergold guitars had.

Agreed! They don't do it for me, but I'm sure they do for others.
