Holy cow! You Americans are lucky ones! You had all this good music, while we folks in the cold North had to enjoy the pleasures of Säkkijärven Polka.
While being a great tune, one needed a shot of r'n'b, with just a little rock'n'roll on the side.
Don't ask me how I found the following, but somehow, while fooling around looking for something-nothing on the net, I went to Youtube. And got into the house band of your TV-show Shindig. They were called The Shindogs. Never heard of them before. Listened, and heard magnificient guitar playing. It was James, yes, the James, Burton on Telecaster, another guy on Gibson guitar, a bass player on what could be them plywood basses - you all know which ones I'm refering to - and a drummer plus keys. Apparently the band members were different from time to time.
