After I got it home, I made a few corrections (shifter linkages, retaining bolts, etc) and then discovered it suddenly wouldn't start. Removing the plugs to see if it was getting spark, the small brass threaded spark plug wire retaining nut jumped out of my hand and went right down into the spark plug hole. Of course it was the rear cylinder.
After exhausting all options I found that I had no choice but to remove the head. To do that I had to drain the oil tank and both fuel tanks, remove the dash, the shifter linkages, the top engine mounting bracket and the front head...
Got the nut out, put the heads back on and TWO of the head bolt holes in the cylinders stripped. That was over the Christmas holiday and I still haven't felt the motivation to deal with it. Argh!
