I don't think they were offerred commercially no.  More likely this is their in house overstock from way back/Kalamazoo junk selloff.

I'd be really interested in that - handy for rev-engineering those LoZ pups, but that price it too high (for me, it's probably worth almost that much).

I agree. This has got to be from the Kalamazoo parts bin. Gibson didn't sell pickup kits.

No magnets or wire? Way too high.
