the shipping is twice as much as it should be. you can still ship a bass anywhere in the 48 for about 17.80. :P

Should be interesting to see how much this paddle brings in.................. The Ferrari Red seems to be twice as rare as the Luna Silver.

Hmm, no postage to UK, seller isn't answering questions either (got them switched off it seems).  If I was to go for this, is anyone willing to act as postage intermediary on my behalf?

Neeph, I've got a mate in Massachusetts who would be able to act as an intermediary.  He comes to the every couple of months, but I'm certain he'd be able to get it shipped here without issue.  The £100 just to ship in the US is a bit mentals.

Maybe some of you don't realize that when a flat shipping amount isn't specified by the seller, the shipping cost displayed is figured by eBay's shipping calculator based on the distance from the seller to your zip code. My browser shows $39.13 which is reasonable from New Jersey to Minnesota.

I might be able to ship a bass from Minneapolis to Des Moines for that. Maybe even to Chicago. Cross country for $17.80? Not a chance.

I shipped a tbird with full insurance and had them pack it....176$ us.  Nova Scotia to north dakota

That's how I ended up on this board in the first place. I was surfing for info on the 20/20.....................something that you don't see much of. Low & behold! Uwe's 20/20 on the "Last Bass Outpost"!!      Now Look at what you have done!!

I happen to be watching a rerun of Boston Legal (http://bostonlegal.wikia.com/wiki/Boston_Legal_Wiki) right now.  I could think of Uwe as a cross between Denny Crane and Allen Shore.

When I joined The Dudepit, the 20/20 was the running gag/butt of jokes in the forum for the Gibson bass you did not want to be seen with even though - to my knowledge - no one had at that time actually played one. Some years ago it received accolades in the German muso mag Gitarre & Bass as "the best thought out and most ergonomic paddle bass ever". Go figure!  8)

Exactly. The special reason is that thing sounds so BRUTAL! Plus the coolness of being ugly  8)
