I loved the music this man made with his bass. 60 years is too soon to go. We'll miss you Louis.

Yeah, this was really shocking and sad.

He was probably the first guy I saw slap around 1978 on either Don Kirschner's or the Midnight Special. I didn't know what the heck was going on - it looked like he was getting shocked every time his thumb hit the string! This guy pre-dated all the show-offs who came later, and had GREAT rhythm. RIP...
