Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Many thanks to Bob (Rob) for two 6" sticks of rosewood saddle blank.  I spent a little time reducing the height on the E and G saddles (off the bottom) and  metal keepers (off the top) so I wouldn't have to deep notch them to get the action low enough.  Also reshaped them to the M-85 contour, sanded to 400, and oiled them.  Had to lengthen the E string slot in the base to intonate properly .  String set is D'Addario 50-105

Rob also sent me some stainless steel strip the same gauge and width as the original keepers.  If anyone needs that or some saddle blank, let me know!

Thanks again, Bob!

More than welcome guys!
That was an "in the parts box piece from the Dudepit days".
If anyone needs metal for the keepers please let me know I have about three pounds of it sliced to width.
Yours for asking.

You use the houses from the Monopoly board game as bridge saddles?  :o

Exactly what I thought when I saw the sticks...that's the sixties profile.  It was easy to update to the '70s.

It's easy to sand the 60s shape into 70s, can't go the other way.  You did good!

Better not let Henry J. see this thread. I hear he's always looking for rosewood.
