Best Website for chord and lyric charts
« on: April 19, 2015, 05:51:38 PM »
Looking for the best site for chord and lyric charts that can easily be printed. I have about 3 hours of stuff I have to learn for a gig coming up and I'm only familiar with about  half of it.

Thanks!

In my experience there is no single best site for that kind of stuff.  I just google the song title and +chords or +lyrics and go for it.  Some sites are better than others, but not all sites will have all the songs, so you'll need to visit multiple sites to get everything you need.
Cheers

Mark already said it best, and I concur with his findings. Be aware too that lots of sites may have the songs but not necessarily in the original key. Unless I know I'll have to transcribe, I try to get/use the lead sheets but still practice with the tracks burned to a CD or playlist in setlist order.

Thanks guys, that's what I normally do. Was just hoping beyond hope that there was something a touch simpler.

Oh well, off to Google I go....

I like http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ which has the ability to transpose and then copy and paste into a word processor for printing. If you Google the song title followed by the word chords the site will usually be near the top in the results, but if you go to http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ and search the song title it will give multiple choices with ratings, and choices for chords, guitar tab and bass tab.

A few months ago I was in the same situation, joined an established band and had to learn a bunch of songs real fast.
