Three Blue Boy Rickenbackers!

But only one of them is mine...

What is better than three Blue Boy Rickenbackers?

This is what happens when Peter Boer pays you a visit.

Amazing. And none of them is yellowed. Blueboy is a great finish.

Well, the one to the right is kinda yellowed, and possibly blotchy. I'm pretty sure it is the clear coat that yellows, or causes the substrate (color) to yellow the clear coat. Paint is complicated stuff.

Did Jim Reeves and his Blue Boys actually play their Blue Boys onstage? None of the few videos I've seen of Jim performing with a band show them being used.

Agreed. I liked the turquoise finish much better than the Blue Boy.

What's better than blue? Why red of course! Black pick guard preferred.

20-25 years ago you could see those in stores sometimes for years. Poor sales were the reason the black trim was discontinued, but the red/black combo was a particular problem. Friend of mine bought his 360 for less than 1/3 of MSRP b/c it had been hanging on the store wall for four years.

No kidding? My first impression was the red and black was pretty snazzy, definitely a metal vibe at least. I could picture Ian Hill playing one with priest. I'd be a happy camper to land a cheap one.

IIRC it was conceived to look like the Ferrari color scheme.

I'm going to get one of those cars one day. The license plate will be 4ARI.

Cool. IIRC that is one of the first 4005's, doesn't even have the 5th knob, refinished by RIC in Blueboy.
