NR Forgery
« on: February 24, 2015, 01:19:33 PM »
Guy contacted me through my website about an NR he bought at Sam Ash about this bass.  It was sold to him as one of mine.  Pretty sure I know who built it...wasn't me! ;)

Have to admire the creativity of the forger in the cavity cover.

I actually went to elementary school in Carle Place grades K-5 before we moved to Florida.  Fun place to grow up.

Yep, she was mine.  Neck through, too!  Yikes, some ass took the Gibson TB pups out of it and put Barts in.  Is there no shame out there???

Oops, I just remembered, I sold it complete without pups as a project last year or so.  I was the ass who took the pups out for myself!!!

Yep.  I told the guy that Bill built it.  He seems happy with the bass, Barts and all.

So... Bon Jovi's 2nd-cousin sold a bass to Mark Mendoza's nephew?  Happens all the time on LawnGuyLand.   ;D

So now we have a new nickname..."Bill the Forger".

Sounds like something out of the Game of Thrones.

It wasn't a forgery, it was a "tribute" to a bygone era and bass.  If it were a forgery, I would have used mahogany!   ;)
