The one with the original style finish looks nice. Don't care for the quilted burst.

I like the quilted one better, but the headstock shape just looks wrong.

Shape is not wrong. But should have been red.

+1.
The ultimate test, however, will be whether the pickups will do the Burns thing. (assuming, of course, that those are NOT Burns units) Otherwise, one would have to figure an upgrade into the cost. (again assuming that one is after a credible Red Special tone)
A fair amount of replicas have missed the mark in one way or another - hopefully that's not the case here.

BaCH tells me the pickups are Korean licensed pickups.
Most likely from the Artec factory.

Haven't seen nor heard these guitars in person yet.

But for the kind of money BaCH sells them for, you can't really go wrong..

€ 280 for the Red Special
€ 325 for the Quilted Queen

The Burns Tri-Sonic pickups on the reissue Brian May guitars are made in Korea. Artecs are made in Korea. For all we know, they could be the same -- or not.

The headstock of the BaCH looks a little shorter and wider than the original. That and the lack of red paint could be to avoid trademark trouble. It's the same general shape as the original though.
