Cool!

When I was a kid I was nutso for The Sweet (and Mott The Hoople and Sparks).  They were locally based and my eldest brother knew Brian Connolly and Mick Tucker.  We used to have this magazine (in the UK) called Disco45 that just reprinted lyrics and had interviews...I remember after Hell Raiser came out there was an interview with them where they mentioned the next single was going to be Ballroom Blitz and it just took an age to arrive.

...and by way of coincidence, I had the CD reissue of Sweet Fanny Adams on in the car yesterday.

P
The future I come from no longer exists.

"Everybody was fightning" was never good English I guess, but it's commendable that you are preaching Chinn/Chapman songs today to the back then largley unconverted US market!

But you have to tell your bandmates that if they are not above churning out non-sensical bubblegum pop such as Ballroom Blitz, then songs by Jim Lea and Noddy Holder are certainly in order!
