Which one balances better weight-wise - the thick body or the thin body?

Well that depends on your expectations. The thick body series III hangs/feels more Fender like but the thin series II feels how a NR should feel.

Hangs...like a very long Fender! The TH-2 reminds me of the Victory the way it hangs.
