Happy to have some music to post here. It was an honor to be on the same bill as so many accomplished artists. Here's some of Mucklers Circle playing at the Rise Above Fest in Bangor Maine.

There were lots of big acts. We opened on the b stage on the other side of the venue from the main stage. Seether and Korn were some of the bigger acts on the main stage that day. My girlfriend said all the security put their ear plugs in at the same time right after we started. It's the loudest I've ever played but Cane Hill was ridiculously louder on the same stage the next day. Avatar from Sweden was there on the second day and the put on a great show with lots of theatrics. Hell yeah, Vinnie Paul's current band had to follow them and it was a tough act for them to match. It didn't help that the singer's voice was shot. Crobot put on a great show too. They have a great frontman and did a nice job covering Cochise by Audioslave in honor of Chris Cornell. I had a chance to talk to their bassist backstage. He's a lefty and played a Mexican jazz bass that day. I told him he should keep an eye out for some left handed Gibsons coming out in 2018. He seemed pretty keen on checking out the EB.

Thanks, that's a 35" scale Peavey Millenium strung with Heavy Ken Smith Burners, tuned in D standard going into a GK 1001 RB-II with a 4x12 GK neo cabinet. Very easy to dial in a tone that cuts through the guitars with the sweepable mids on the millennium plus the GK rig is no slouch either. Best $400 I ever spent on a used bass and the bird's eye maple board adds a nice touch.

The band I play drums in just finished an EP with a old dude who used to do front of house for (among others) Bon Jovi (in his heyday not post haircut).  Quirky drone/shoegaze pop. IMHO this isn't even the best track off the EP; band leader holding back for a more elaborate release.

Band I play bass in is currently mixing.  The song I wrote didn't make it cuz the drummer (who may have kinda dropped out of the band due to working on a documentary of The Punks; not actually sure if just extended break while we mix or not - been meaning to call him up and say hi) couldn't nail a take he was happy  with.  Might just redo that one myself, cuz goddamn it it's my only song on the entire record (I sing on a few others).

Well, you're checking all the right boxes for me with song choices. ...will have to give a proper listen later.

Thanks

can I ask as a bass player, did I go over the top in Sanctuary? the whole thing is super self indulgent anyway, I just had so much fun
