2nd project - "Select" pickup question
« on: September 27, 2011, 02:59:50 PM »
I'm putting some plans together for a project.
I have a Walnut slab to use for the body, and I'm thinking along the lines of a P/J Jaguar-ish thing.
Maybe shortscale, I don't know yet.

A few years back, I was given a new P/J set "Select - designed by EMG".  The model is EMG-SEPJ - Made in Korea.
They've been sitting in their box in my workshop for years - kind of a waste.

I was curious to know if anyone here has any experiences with these and if their worth the effort.
These are hard wired (not the modular connector type).
I saw two 7 year old reviews on ActiveBass.com (mostly positive), but wanted to see if anyone here had any experience they'd like to share.
Thanks,
Steve

I used the select P in my 1st build . They were very good.
It takes a very deep-rooted opinion to survive unexpressed
