About to pull the trigger on a Fender rumble Bass 100 combo

(1/2) > >>

Blazer:

Okay I need a simple good sounding amp that I could use at home for recording and for small gigs. I have since sold my H/H combo because it was too large and had the anoying tendency to sound differently every time I turned it on.

So what do you guys say, what should I look out for and any recommendations?

Chris P.:
Do it. It's a nice amp and I prefer 2x10 over 1x15.

Dave W:
My older son bought one last year (the 2x10 version) for band practice, and he's not satisfied with the performance. He says the distortion at volume is too high even for practice.

Chris P.:
You mean there's a built-in distortion which is bad? Just don't use it! No problem!

Or does the amp distort bad at high volumes?

Dave W:
No, I'm not talking about a distortion circuit, I don't think it has one. He bought it so he wouldn't have to lug his gig rig to practice. Now he's only using it at home because it distorts too much at the volume they use at practice.
