Just got home from practice. I sand, bind, stain & scrape when I do binding. It's a pain! I have changed from Duco type cements to thin CA and I like the results much better. read the first 7 -8 posts in this discussion...........

I forgot to mention that I tape my bindings before staining/painting so I keep scraping to a minimum or not at all. It's just too easy to mess up a nice finish while scraping when you only do it once in awhile.

That's why I chose the PRS approach. Worse comes to worse you put binding on, but so far its turning out fine.
