At last! I was about to abandon hope...  ;D
Music was better when ugly people were allowed to make it.

Starting to compile some parts. Just bought a pair of the NOS 70's pup covers and rings, and put a bid on a Gibson TRC. Ugh.. $40 for a piece of plastic. Oh well, in the end I'll have basically what I want without depleting the piggy bank.

Anybody have a tracing of a proper NR pickguard? Or does somebody like Pickguardian already make one?

Very funny John ;0 I have made pickguards in the past the problem is I cant find the thin w/b/w that Gibson uses. I think it is .060 the stuff from Stew mac is .090 . There was a time when I was going to make and sell NR Thunderbird pickguards`. I have a friend who hot stamps the logo for me but then I began to worry about Gibson sending their lawyers after me so I have prety much been making them for myself. Things have changed a bit this is a pretty insular forum I might be willing to under take this project if I can get the right material. I am not going to go into what went on between me and Roger at Jeanies pickguards other than I won't have anything to do with him. Here is one I made with the stew mac material for my NR model G bird.

Pickguard Heaven (Chandler) carries .060 w/b/w. I don't know if they sell the material separately. They do claim to have a late 60s Thunderbird pattern.
