I've been toying with a Fenderbird project or buying one of the EPI non-reverse P/J basses and routing it for a couple of humbuckers, so am wondering what pickups options are out there?  Off the top of my head I know there are Barts, Lull or maybe hunt for used TB-Plus pickups - anything else?
Cheers

Here's a discusion on the Barts as well as others

Another option is Duncan SSB in the same size, Duncan custom wound to vintage Tbird specs (long lead time and not cheap) and there are the Fralin Bassbuckers in I believe a standard guitar HB size

Here it is!

They look good, especially since the price includes chromes covers and pickup ring.

Yep, and they sound good too.  I used them for a drop in application on an LP and they really rock.

I bought their last pair from RS and in spite of what the webpage says, they told me that they're not planning on ordering any more.  The review posted there is mine.

There is a pair for sale here though: http://bassoutpost.com/index.php?topic=4233.0

Thanks, it lives with Uwe in Germany now.

I'm going to build another one next year just like it for myself with a 30" scale.

That was a stunning bass, I was shocked you sold it to .

I would use these on my next vintage bass project-

It would really rock this look- bare bones but rocks

Those Mosrite pups are the equivalent of P-90s for guitar, so it would be a good match!
Music was better when ugly people were allowed to make it.

I bet Fralin would build a set if you asked - they're just built to slide into standard humbucker cover.
