Bass Emporium had a beautiful MINT Walnut Precision Special the when I went there the Tuesday before last.  $1499 was a steal IMHO.  It's already gone..........

Just paint, not walnut wood.  Look at the neck pocket.

They did do walnut wood, but a few years later with different routing.

Yup, looking into the neck pocket that's what I figured.  I rather like the color.  8)

looks great.  black was the right choice and by 74 fender was using more black anyway instead of the torts.
