It is a beauty! No way in hell would I shell out twenty two grand for it, but for all I know, it may be worth every penny. There can't be many out there in that condition.
Years ago I played a beat up 51 that I fell in love with, but passed on due to the price tag. I was thrilled to pick up my 51 RI a few years ago. That 52 looks just like my RI with a pickup/bridge cover/thumb rest added........ and it's in  about the same condition!

I agree with this statement: "This bass is hard to believe..."

May be legit, maybe not. You're not going to convince many people by putting four small low-res pics on Craigslist along with an unverified claim that it's been verified by a vintage expert.

Yeah, if you've got a piece that appears to be that good , it seems like you'd want some nice high res pics to show it off.

I can't believe this 52 isn't getting more comments around here. If it is indeed legit, this SOB has got to be one very rare piece . I know a lot of people don't like the earliest slab body Ps , but IMO these are truly the Holy Grail.

Because there's not a single reason to believe it is legit.

Imitation is the sincerest form of litigation...?
The random mind of a Silver Surfer...
If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

I'm not saying it's beyond possibility that this is real, but there's no reason to believe it is, based on what little he's provided. Jeez, even bad fakes on eBay have better pics than that. And would any legit owner sell a bass like this on Craigslist if it were the real deal?

Poor Tadeo Gomez. Based on how many Fenders I've seen that were allegedly initialed by him, he must have worked a 36 hour shift every 24 hours.
