I came across this ,new to me, book;

Barry Mathews hung out at the Fender Discussion Page Forum for a bit and discussed some of the research he did for the book. One of the forum members had some info he was unaware of so he come in to ask questions to further his research.

I had forgotton about the book, glad to see it's out. I'll have to pick up a copy.
Nothing is what it seems but everthing is exactly what it is.

Really considering they're uncommon you would think they would have a picture by now.

Haven't seen the book yet, but I sent out those scanned pages of a mag article with Barry Matthews to a few people here. I never knew anything about them when I got the parts to put this together. (another shameless show-off picture of my only bass.......) ;D
