Mary Magdalene was not an adult virgin 
nor depicted in the New Testament as such. In fact she had a (very old) profession that generally rules out virginity. You're thinking of Mother Mary/the Virgin Mary/Holy Mary. There are two Mary's in that big fat book, ok?
Only one washed Jesus' feet and dried them with her hair and that was
not his mother.

And with all due respect, I never thought of Fräulein Rommel as a virgin even for the best of causes! In the Jesus Christ Superstar cast I could have envisaged her more as part of King Herod's entourage!
