Damn!! 8) Just like 1978!  Except they're girls and they're kinda hot and and the lead singer plays a Rick - move over Sushana Hoffs - you've been replaced! ;D

Back in the old days we preferred the gentle vocal stylings of Yoko Ono. This modern stuff is harsh compared to her crooning on "Don't Worry Kyoko".  ;D

Cool, avant/noise rock/music has been around since John Cage. Just not something that's radio friendly.

I still like this band a lot. Uwe posted a link to them way back at one of the Pit's and I went and bought some of their stuff. Plus the bass player plays an Gibson RD copy that looks pretty hot IMHO.

That chick is a guy. Although the entire band used to look like little Japanese girls a few years ago!

Dir en Grey or, say, Einstürzende Neubauten or early John Cage'ish Velvet Underground are about as much "performance content" as I can take if I want to listen to music repeatedly. A little industrial/noise is ok. If it's more I can perhaps dig it at a one-off performance, but it's nothing that would revisit my CD player. But then that is why it's called performance art.

I liked Laurie Anderson - are Herr Reed and her still an item? - but then her stuff was pretty sophisticated with light and shade and not so much onslaught throughout.
