My new parts box
« on: February 14, 2008, 04:34:10 PM »
If I haven't posted here about this before, I finally found a parts box to replace the cardboard boxes in my closet.  It holds just about everything I need - pickups, bridges, tools, even a couple wall hangars.  For $20, this thing has plenty of large storage slots, including the large drawers on each end.  The Stanley Tool Organizer XL is pretty nice.

I need something like that. How big is it? From the pic it doesn't look like the compartments are big enough for pickups or bridges. Where did you buy it?

I got it at Home Depot.  It's pretty big - imagine wrapping your hand around the handle with LOTS of room to spare.  It's about 18"x12"x10".  The end drawers are pretty long on the bottom rows, too.  I'll see if I can take a few pics to show you what I've got in mine.

I need to redo "the closet".  It's like a game of Jenga when I need to get something out of there - and that's with organizational shelving!   ???

That looks cool for containing the small parts, and I like that it's portable.

Thanks, Gary. Don't get into Home Despot that often but I do have an unspent $25 gift card handy.

Now I won't have to buy new shoes just to have another shoebox for my parts.  :D

Well, I was by the BORG this afternoon, saw them and was going to buy one, but every one of them on the display was cracked on the black plastic apron at the bottom. Maybe the Samsonite gorilla works in their warehouse.
