I have the Abigail album - as a point of reference. One King Diamond/Mercyful Fate CD is quite eunuch for most collections I believe.

King Diamond/Diamond Head  - we haven't had a mix-up as priceless as this since ... ah, I don't really remember ... sometimes things just look way too close to tell apart.

Two random, but very similar-looking aircraft to illustrate my point.

Do I resemble some of those remarks, perchance...? Anyway, most of the pieces are pretty similar...

That is everything that's bad about Meatloaf.  It's a shame he had to drag down Cher with him.
Robert Plant and Jimmy Page (drummer and bassist of Deep Purple, Jake!)

More like Cher was dragging down Meatloaf. She sounded better with this Diamond and the late great Glen Campbell RIP.

Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

Gee, I bet Cher would have fit right in with Deep Purple too!  ;D

No issues with Cher at all, I love the old girl! Thanks for posting the vid, I always drool over that squaw look, brings out the General Custer in me, cocked and loaded!  A lot of women singers sound similar, Cher sounds like Cher, no matter what she sings. Not much of a range, but an immediately recognizable tone. And it's her tone.

Same thing with old Neil, great songwriter. I've seen him twice in recent years.

Yeah, and I know that Deep Purple Mk 1 was cheesy, frilly shirts and buffed hairdos and all, but Kentucky Woman features a cracker of a guitar solo and some lovely bubbling bass lines by Nick Simper - especially in the middle eight.

And silly as it is (and most things about Meatloaf are real silly, let's face it), I always dug that Dead Ringer vid, it's one of those nonsense songs that always puts me in a good mood. And for the same reason, I love the Village People's YMCA too. And Tony Orlando's and Dawn's Tie A Yellow Ribbon. Plus Olivia Newton John's Physical and Xanadu or this here ... :gay:

Dave will probably hasten to add/insist that it is not really country at all, but closer to truly detestable stadium rock:rimshot:

Maxine Nightingale's Right Back Where We Started From is another favorite. I'm hopeless. Guilty pleasures galore.

We should start a "Most shameful song liked"-thread. Only really embarrassing stuff qualifies.

Olivia Newton-John was incredibly cute in both "Xanadu" and the "Physical" video.

Now, though, she is battling cancer for the second time.  All the best to her.  Australia still considers her their sweetheart.  But she is the world's sweetheart as far as I'm concerned.

Wow, I didn't know about the second round of cancer.  Best to her.  I'm incredibly sad about Grant Hart.  I'm a huge Husker Du fan and didn't even know he had cancer until waking up to a message from a friend this morning telling me he'd died.

I'm sad about Grant too. Humble, approachable guy. He had looked unwell for several years but it wasn't until his July 1st solo gig turned into a surprise tribute that word got around about his terminal condition.

Damn.  Last time I saw him live was in 2014, on my birthday.  Not sure if he was sick yet, but he didn't seem well.  I thought maybe it was that he just wasn't aging well, since it wasn't often I got to see him.

Not sure how Joey Spampinato is doing with his Cancer fight. He played bass in NRBQ and also the band in the Chuck Berry movie Hail! Hail! rock n roll.
