I'm in the midst of a major change to my rig, but this is where I am right now.

Currently I use an older Fender Bassman 400 over a matching Bassman 115 cabinet. It's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. I've been bitten by the Ampeg bug after using some pretty cool backline gear. So, I'll call this my temporary rig...

Here is another shot, I just upgraded my guitar amp as well.

As I said when I posted the above photos, I was in the middle of updating my rig.

Here is the new and improved rig.

Wow, can you tell us a bit more about the Reeves 225?

I'm sorry for taking so long to reply. Well, they're made in a facility in Ohio that Jim Reeves (Mister HiWatt) established and are conservatively rated power-wise. In the review I read before buying mine, the test amp was delivering 265 watts IIRC. There are a couple of updates from the classic Hi-Watt. There is an active/passive switch for the preamp. The D.I. signal is tapped off of the output transformer. I believe that the transformers are Heyboers. Build quality is superb. This thing can deliver low end for days. The only upcharge I paid for was a NOS tube in the V1 position. I love the sound and feel of it. It's been rock solid so far. I probably need to have the bias checked. I've been playing it a few months now, and the bias will drift a bit after a while.

Here she is.  Played a gig with it last weekend and it sounded great!  Probably could have gotten by with one cab, but we do play outdoors once in awhile in the summer, so two is better!  It has that deep, old time boominess I love so much, but with plenty of definition.  My Gibson 335 and Gretsch ThunderJet love this rig.

I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!

The rack has a Mesa M-pulse 600, Korg DTR-2000 tuner, and XDR-95 wireless in it...

Thanks - it's all worked pretty well, I have to admit... I used the rack and 810 in a loud 2 guitar band - both used Triple Rec halfstacks, and I never had to push it hard to get the job done... I picked up a like new MIA Ampeg BA115 a couple of months ago, but am not sure when I'll use it - it was such a good deal, I couldn't resist... I've also been keeping an eye out for a 400+, just because I've wanted one for awhile....

Nice rig.... but wearing checks with stripes is a rather serious offense. Frauline, get out your handcuffs!
