Not enough chrome for Uwe.

Seriously, that's impressive.

The letter is a kick.  Elvis liked it so much he had one made just like it, by Jim Rammage - not Gibson, except not just like it.

I would someone to look it over to see if the fingerboards came from Gibson.  I doubt the pickguards and the car rear quarter trim came from Gibson.  I am always wary of an opaque finish on an SG/EB neck or body.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

Despite the way the daughter's letter reads, it's a Gibson, and the Elvis doubleneck is a Gibson.

Elvis' double neck Gibson was a sixstring bass on top and regular guitar at the bottom

I have a hunch this is both legit and unaffordable.

Now that is something special! Almost worth changing your name for...

I could really use one of those in my band. Who wants to guess the final price? I'd say around $3000, and the buyer will be delighted at that price.

I think ebaying this was a mistake from a sellers point of view. Should be on the wall in a vintage store.

Ended early "because of an error in the listing."

Maybe he took Jules' advice and consigned it to a vintage store.

If Uwe suddenly starts calling himself Jim, we'll figure it out.  :)

$9.95 unaffordable in American Peso's?

You jest?

Ladies and Gentlemen, Uwe has left the bidding ...

For the avoidance of doubt: This thing contains 50% guitar and is therefore contaminated from my point of view. If I bought it for say 10.000 bucks, I'd spend at least 5.000 bucks on a guitar. But I don't buy guitars, much less for 5.000 bucks.

Now if this was a twin-neck bass, I'd be all over it, Elvis or not.

It's already $4,550! Probly gonna go for 10k like Uwe said.

It'd be great for some One Man Band!
