Uwe's legal analysis: Of course it does, but - as usual - we're not allowed to speak freely about it as one of ze Moderätör's many mantras is: "Trussrod covers do not influence sound." But as long as we know and we believe it's alright.

What's wrong with the SG name, Chris? I always found it more descriptive than EB: An "EB" can be an SG shape bass, a Les Paul Junior shaped bass, a shortscale hollowbody, a long scale hollowbody (EB 650 and 750) or even a mock "Beatles bass" (EB-1 who forever will be viewed by the uninitiated as a copy of the Höfner rather than the other way around). With the SG moniker you automatically have the correct image in mind.

 Hmmmm... so much for European sensiblities I retract the statement I made in the other thread........
Chris, the bass looks great on you, I have no doubt the new truss rod cover improves the sound

I won't get into the invasion discussion this time....

The bass actually sounds a lot better. 'SG' is engraved into this cover, so it has a little less weight than a plain cover. The extra added miligrams of weight of the black cover ad sustain, heaviness to the sound. It is slightly more neck heavy, but I'm used to that because of the T-Bird.
