2014 Jack Bruce Interviews
« on: November 14, 2017, 01:18:28 AM »
Two interviews with some similarities, but also some differences.  In one, for instance, he is asked which guitarist he liked playing with the most.  Jack dodges the question.  In the other, he seems to indicate he leaned toward Gary Moore (because of their Scottish-Irish bond.)

He says the Warwick thumb was his favorite bass. Good enough reason to post this video with Jack's two favorites. I'm sure he was fond of Pete Brown with a vocal cameo here as well.

Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

Ginger looked like he was amused at Pete Brown's cameo.

You'd think this interview was made at a nursery home:

It looks like it was made in the lobby of whatever place he was staying at here in the states. It must have been just before Jack Bruce passed away. He still has the charm!

That video where Ginger is basically a puddle of angry old man in a recliner is pretty funny.

Going to put it out there, but I'm not the biggest fan of Ginger's drumming.

Chad doesn't seem to mind the old crank. I think he gets Ginger and takes it in stride because he understands Ginger's giving them a bit of a ribbing. I think it's funny and impressive at the same time that Chad is willing to humble himself in the presence of someone that is clearly a musical inspiration.

I think you're right, he is an old crank but he's playing it up here.

I love it. He is not a locked down rhythm slave, but has an animated discussion with the music via his percussion work! It's a kind of drumming art that has largely died out.
