Nice 80's Matsumoku-made Vantage medium scale with Alembic P pickup. $299 and 20 hours to go.

The guy who bought the same bass twice — first in 1977 and again in 2023

You could surely double your money there? Find an old cream Dimarzio Model P, stick it in there with a passive Vol/Tone scheme and you've returned the bass to stock. People love those 'Uncle Mat' basses. The Alembic stuff must be pretty desirable as well. Is the preamp Alembic as well?

Yes, Alembic electronics. An Alembic P pup with volume and filter controls lists for $825.  :o You can get them a lot cheaper on eBay, but this is a good deal for the right person.
