A piece of Ric modification history
« on: July 09, 2017, 11:23:49 PM »
Misfits 4001. Easy project.

This bass was abused and smashed, but the neck/body area didn't break despite that huge swimming pool routing. That neck heel should be donated to scientific research.

The guy who bought the same bass twice — first in 1977 and again in 2023

I have one of Jerry's oversized armbands from a 1999 concert. It was a great show.

Either a truly serious (or seriously deranged ) collector, or a shill is among the bidders.

Where is the Ric-Gestapo when you need it?

What that "bass" needs is a nice burial cermony so it can find peace and solace with its ancestors.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

One mans trash is another's $5,238.

Just think what it would have been worth if he did it to one with checkerboard binding. 8)

A fool and his money are soon parted, but chances are that the buyer is hoping for a greater fool somewhere down the line.
