Pre-teen blues rock
« on: June 01, 2017, 10:54:44 AM »
I'm much more impressed by kids who can actually play and sing songs than boring kiddie shredding videos.

This video from 1969 was posted to YT in 2010 but is just now making the rounds among a few of my friends. I can't find anything else about them. Danish? Dutch? Music starts at 1:36.

The discussion also brought mention of this 2014 video. The band is from California. Another of their videos from two years earlier said the singer/guitarist was 9, the keyboardist 8, and the drummer 5.

The guitarist seems to be Thoma Eje, born in -57. The band is Danish. Eje became a professional musician. Here: http://thomaseje.dk/en/thomas-eje/

I can imagine the parents of the Wild Field Blues Band kids were very proud.
But to be honest, the music in that video is pretty crappy.  :-X

I'm not fooled. Wild(e) Field Blues Whatever - my ass! That's an early demo session from the Hansons that Dave snuck in there!

They have had haircuts in the meantime too. But the harmonies are still darn tight.

We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

To each his own. I like it. They were good enough to be invited by Country Joe & the Fish to perform at a concert, and apparently the YT video was from a national TV special about them.

Thomas Eje's video (on the page Staffan linked to) is very impressive.
