I think it sounds relaxed, but a trifle insecure/still searching, sort of "
Can I play this just once before we tape?" and of course the engineer says yes, but tapes secretly and then yells from the control room
"Ok, Tom, you're done, we've got everything we need from you!" 
Those are sometimes not the worst takes.
