Gibson's financial troubles -- updated

Power Station didn't have exactly cerebral lyrics nor the most gifted songwriting, 'tis true. But I loved the sonics of that band, the interplay between drums, bass and guitar and the state of the art, but very much into your face production. It was a bit like a stylish porn flic.

Living in fear is an excellent album. With some great lyrics.

I like that second album too, but it is a much more somber affair than the hedonistic gung-ho debut. You're the first person - besides me - that admits to liking the Power Station! As with Tin Machine, I sometimes think I'm the only person on earth that really liked them back then and still listens to them today.

I anticipate the next development will be some kind of collaboration between Gibson and Gwyneth Paltrow on a totally useless and overpriced novelty item.

..I gotta say tho...that 2015 Tbird is their best Bird to date.  There's one here locally that is great. Too bad.

A record collector friend of mine posted a YT video of a newer Stanton turntable shown at NAMM. You could see Gibson Brands signs right by it. I knew they had bought Onkyo and had part ownership of Tascam/TEAC but don't remember reading that they had bought Stanton. No wonder they're overextended.
