The very first BaCH that I had was a 50s P model with mahogany body and mahogany neck. Oiled not lacquered.
Nice bass. But very heavy.

The whole BaCH adventure started there. I asked them if they made any other bass models with mahogany body and neck. They said we can build anything if you order at least 25 copies. So I asked if there were any other idiots who would like a NR Tbird... You know the rest of that story  8)

So glad you did, Rob!

Me too. But the adventure with BaCH is coming to an end.
They don't have any Gibson models anymore. Their new models are ugly as sin.
And the quality of the instruments that they've been sending me hasn't been consistent lately.
I had to fix nearly every instrument that I got from them in the past year or so.
Sometimes minor flaws (such as bad solder work). But sometimes serious problems such as a broken magnet on a pickup!

It was fun while it lasted.

Wow, that sounds bad. Kinda makes me give second thoughts of selling my TH-2.
Did BaCH get new owners or something? Or did ole Henry move from Gibson to BaCH?  ;D

Sorry to hear that, Rob. Wasn't Bach just a two-man shop?

No there are two owners (B & Ch)
But in their shop they have more employees. I don't know how many.
