We found an old black and white pic of a Thunderbird Twin - Bass on top, guitar below - had the same shape head as yours.
I showed him the images of your Resto/Re-Build - he was most impressed and thought it looked very nice indeed!! 
Pretty amateur compared to PC's, Carlo's, Scott's, Doc's, and all the other builders here... I enjoy what I do, somewhat slowly, mind you... and might have news of my own soon anyway...
As for a book, high time you considered that anyway...!
