Fantastic find. Glad to hear a rare bass was pulled from the brink of disaster and brought to a loving home. Any preference for you between this bass and your EB-0 either way?

BöC or the Swedes? BöC sound tired these days, especially the once very alert Eric Bloom, who is now a mere sideman to Donald Buck Dharma Roeser (always a major force in the band, but not as dominating as he is now).

This is a terrific live version of "Last Days of May" when Allen Lanier was still alive. He's on a Telecaster here and Eric Bloom in on keyboards, Allen's usual instrument. I love this version.

I've had good luck buying stuff on CL. Selling things on CL is a different matter although when I recently sold my '79 Powerwagon it went well, with little BS.

The two last series had the arm cut and belly cut.
I think that arm cut did not look good on the NR Tbird. But that's my opinion.

The second series is probably the most popular.
They are rare.

The third series had the largest production numbers.

BaCH kept changing little things with each series. I have not kept track of all the minor changes.

There were what, 20 in the first series, 30 in the second. Any idea how many were in the third? I couldn't imagine it was more than 50 or so.

Unbelievable! Beautiful for a 65 year old bass! On my '59 EB-2, I bought four original Firebird tuners & stole the nickel knobs off of them. I seem to recall having to remove a bit of material off of the post, but they worked great & did a better job of stabilizing the tuner than the old plastic knobs did.

Finding another neck seems less likely than winning the lotto........... But you never know! I still have a hard time believing that the one I picked up was unearthed........... And with the same serial number with the exception of the last digit! (which I stamped). It just goes to show you that if you watch long enough, anything is likely to show up.
