I think the more rounded Thunderbird Studio would be better for chroming.

Thornton,

See the post of Bert. He has the same Klira as the one on the right. Normally you see the doublecut (your one on the left) or the violin bodyshape, but the right one (and Bert's one) seem to be combinations of both. What about that?

I tried the small bodied Ibanez Artcore at the Frankfurter Musikmesse, but I don't know its type nr.. it's like a hollow body Les Paul. Could that be the AGB200 you're talking about?

I liked that a lot. Real 60s, Nice size. Normally I don't like gold hardware, but it looks oky on this bass. It's dark brown.

Fender Basses / Re: New Squier basses...

My local store has the 60s P in. I'll try her out amplified next weekend, but today I only held it in my hands.

- Very nice looking bass with a chrome bridge cover and thumb rest.
- The neck/headstock has a dark laquer, exactly like the Fender Classic Series.
- The blue is a bit darker (older vibe?) than the powder blue of a USA Tele hanging in the same shop.

But:

- The w/b/w has a black layer whch is way too thick.
- Cheap controls and tuners.

I like the Explorer cos it's just too much. You need matching spandex pants!

The T-Bird is nice. A black guard would look good on that one!

I don't have to defend myself, but I'll do it! (partly cos I can't afford Uwe to do it for me.)

- I think Hieronymous talks more about cats... :) And I like that:)

- Sorry, Herr Fraulein.... I'll try to do it right the next time!

- Erm, the SG-3 was supposed to be for my, erm, other girlfriend.

To quote Gibson's slogan for the second time this week:

'Why just have one? Rock 'n Roll isn't about monogamy.'

I think it's bad Gibson's promoting GAS, but they dn't do anything to solve that: making basses.

I´m toally in love with the Gretsch Billy Bo Jupiter Thunderbird Bass. Only that name. I just love typing Gretsch Billy Bo Jupiter Thunderbird Bass.

Imagine a conversation after a gig.

- What bass is that?
- A P.

Or:

- Wow, what bass is that!?!?!?!
- That? Oh, that's just a Gretsch Billy Bo Jupiter Thunderbird Bass.

Know what's better???

Only the damn price of that thing...

I also think the Epi JCS is one of the best basses around, for the money. And used that could be possible?

No, please, don't start the discussion that the original Les Paul Signature bass is better!

Tres cool!

I'm not knocking Ford drivers. I'm knocking Escort drivers! ;)

In the end you Germans did win the war. BMW bought (Land) Rover and kept the good parts (Mini, 4 wheel drive systems) and sold the rest back to disappear. Fortunately Land Rover is doing well.

Volkswagen and BMW bought Bentley and Rolls-Royce.. You're infiltrated in Dutch and English Royalty....
