His politically active granddaughter, btw, is a nut case/fake blond bimbo airhead.

Then maybe this was her brain.

Every once in a while you come across a product so bad that people start writing funny reviews about it.

Here's one: Laptop Steering Wheel Desk

Just read the reviews.

Some of the comments on the reviews are great too.

I wonder if funeral directors will see this as a new revenue source.

It might be disconcerting to the bereaved if you tell them dear old Aunt Agatha's body fat might come back as an enriched shampoo.

Looks in remarkably good shape for older unfinished parts. A couple of rough edges, nothing you can't easily take care of.

This guy has been around for years, and yet his idea hasn't caught on. It's a solution to something that's really not a problem. Most players don't think of themselves as having to adapt to the bass.

Xavier Padilla, LOL (he's quoted under "what they're saying"). He used to post once every few months on the old TBL mailing list. And every post was always the same, he would declare his Little to be the ultimate bass neck solution.

When I checked YouTube a couple of years ago, there was almost nothing of his posted. Now there's a lot, including all of the Phantom and fourth of July (in multiple parts), some of Jean Shepherd's America and a number of other humor bits.

Dave, are you a fan of Shep's work? I grew up on his radio show and books.

I knew who he was, but I never read any anything by him until after seeing his PBS nonfiction series called Jean Shepherd's America about 1970-71 (there was a second series in the mid 80s).

I loved Phantom of the Open Hearth (which was mid-70s) plus two later PBS comedies based on his stories, The Star-Crossed Romance of Josephine Cosnowski (sp?) and The Great American Fourth of July. Some great scenes in those but Phantom was my favorite.

The leg lamp was featured "A Christmas Story" the movie based on Jean Shepherd's childhood.

A different version appeared earlier in "The Phantom Of The Open Hearth" which was an adaptation of one of his earlier short stories set when he was a teenager.

The pub deserves the bad publicity. Not for the allegedly bad service, but because the bartender called the cops and had the customers arrested for theft. That's just outrageous.

If I were in that situation, and if it were as bad as the customers described, I would have paid the "mandatory gratuity" said something to the manager on duty and gotten the owner's phone number to call the next business day. And as Scott says, you try to take into account that sometimes things are beyond your server's control.

But it's inexcusable to call the cops and have customers arrested for failing to pay a gratuity. If they go out of business for that, they deserve it.

More: Henry J takes leave of absence from Rainforest Alliance board. Note that Gibson's chain of custody certificate doesn't cover wood from Madagascar, though that still doesn't mean the wood was illegally imported.

It's not any less desirable for any practical reason. It's just that an earlier date is usually more sought after by collectors, all else being equal.

Couple Busted for Refusing to Pay Tip

A mandatory gratuity? Someone needs a dictionary.

If it was clearly posted that the charge was mandatory, the pub may be technically correct, but still I hope the dirtbags get sued out of business.
