A recently deceased motorcycle buddy of mine, who was an engineer for BSA/Triumph in the late '60s and early '70s, lied about his age and flew F4 Corsairs in Korea when he was 17.

Mine require a bit of setup before I could play it (I don't know enough about bridge adjustments, etc yet), so once I got it back and relocated the front pin I could play it. It still has a lot of neck dive, I think due to the combination of large headstock and thinner body the last 30 had. It's taking some time to get used to the thinner, narrower neck too, but that's because I've been playing the Thunderbird and the Ripper a lot. The BaCHbird definitely sounds different from the other basses though!

It's longer than any of my other basses including the Epi T-birds. Can anyone suggest a case in which it will fit?

It's that time of year when thousands will decend upon Winston-Salem NC for the 9th annual HEAVY REBEL WEEKENDER.  Three days of rock and roll, rockabilly, honky-tonk, punk, garage, metal, and loads more. The beer will be flowing (except for me who doesn't drink, the rat rods and classic beaters will be on display, the mud wrestling will be dirty, and the music for the 85+ bands will be HOT!  I'm not even going to get into the wet wifebeater show or the upright bass slapdown.

I am honored to be playing it again this year (my 6th and with a third different band.) the Rayguns will be hitting the Jailhouse stage at 5:45 on Friday and the show won't wrap up until Dash Rip Rock closes it down on Sunday night.

I hope everyone has a safe Fourth of July Holiday filled with family, friends, good food, and fireworks.  Even though it won't be as cool as mine...

Yes, the swastika has its place in other cultures and should not be tainted by Nazism. But if as a westerner you flaunt that symbol, you are asking to be misunderstood.

The swastika is an odd symbol. It was used in Tibet and Indian several thousand years ago and was even seen on Native American pottery and scratched in ruins which are known to be many hundreds of years old. It appeared both left-handed and right-handed and was often used as a symbol for friendship. The silly little German corporal ruined it for all. Hoser.

That's a cool plane in any case and I really like the color. A few years ago some filthy rich guy and 5 or 6 ME-262s built up. I think most if not all are complete with at least one of the flying. The Germans may have lost the war but they did have some cool stuff. A few years ago I got a ride in a Zundapp KS650 2wd Sidecar outfit a buddy owns. The thought of riding in that thing from Germany to Russia just to get your ass kicked is well, hard to imagine, but the motorcycle itself is freakin' terrific!
