I'm in the "lucky" minority of Covid-19 patients who contracted it in early March and STILL have not shaken it, so shipping times have been the least of my concerns.

I stocked up on MF's Stupid Deal of the Day for rack cases last week and they took the normal shipping time.

Speaking of low budget Ibanez, saw this 80's RB920 for sale for $300. Like a passive StingRay with figured maple top, binding, and Ric-ish cresting wave body horns. I'm tempted.

That's what I paid for its two pickup bigger brother a couple years ago, but I got an absolute killer deal. They're nice basses, falling soundwise closer to Spector than Fender, but without a Spector's active bite. Go for it.

GC killed Mackie, Crown, SWR, and several others by holding out on credit payments in years past as a business tactic. What goes around comes around.

I see this guy on the YouTube sidebar all the time. I always get a chuckle out of the "British guitarist" tag. Like, who gives a F where he's from?  I haven't watched any of his, but I've seen a couple of "vocal coach reacts to" videos that just made me cringe.

I like this lady: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JODZAMCnV7Q

Her stuff actually breaks down the vocal stylings and explains why certain singers sound the way they do. She's not elitist and self-absorbed like some of the others I've seen. I've had years of vocal training and her approach is the closest to what I'm used to with the added bonus of her being just so damn cute. Plus she's really nice. I've emailed her with questions and she's very friendly and engaging.

Janie had a house near my hometown in the 70's-80's. She was famous around town for being a nice lady and having a gorgeous house. I had gym class with her guitar player's daughter in high school.  Her white cotton shorts... I LOVED that gym class!

Carvin and Keisel split in 2015, and Carvin Audio shut down all US production of audio gear with their factory closure in 2017. They're still around, but like most of Peavey, selling overseas made product OEM'ed to their name.

I don't get it. Why does he describe everything about the bass and its parts, complete with detail shots of the neck, pickups, and hardware if the body is the only thing for sale?

A somewhat cynical perspective from a Tennessee worker WITH the virus: our governor Bill Lee is a completely unqualified dunderhead poster boy for big business and has made no illusions about that fact. He has only continually proven this as Tennessee ranks LAST in the nation for taking preventative measures to combat the spread. (Ask me about his ideas of "education reform" if you want to learn new profanity.) Here in Knoxville, the city and county mayor (Kane from the WWE- and no, I'm NOT kidding) went to war over issuing stay at home orders, with the county-controlled health department making a political decision to keep restaurants and bars open for public traffic long after the CDC recommended closure to foot traffic.  Why do I bring this up? Because in Tennessee, government answers to business and not vice versa. Gibson probably had as much say in keeping their factory open as they do any other internal decision. I'm happy they were PR-shamed into action. Other industries are more institutionally sociopathic and unfazed by PR. To call Nashville corrupt is like calling Washington DC corrupt: DUH.  Thankfully, my employer is based in Minnesota.

I played one a couple days ago. I normally don't like shorties. I LIKED it, mainly for the pickup, but the neck was VERY nice..

RE- the Band Perry

I worked crew for their show for their "hometown crowd" in Greeneville, TN a couple years ago. They're a faux set of sibling performers who didn't even bother TRYING to lip sync to the ProTools rig that was running through the PA. Milli Vanillli would have been embarrassed by how obviously fake they are.  I have their first album which had some catchy songwriting and promise for potential to turn into a Taylor Swift-style pop crossover.  They lack her talent and work ethic. Country? They're barely music.

It wasn't when I looked yesterday. Maybe they're updating it for NAMM announcements.
