Randy with a Ric and my favorite Eagles number, yeah, I’m a pansy …

You don't have to be a pansy to love this song.  ;)

Weird. Looks like more trouble to build that way.

I wish sellers would stop treating the white ones like collectors items.

Yup! White is almost always a premium. Looks so good though!

My Les Paul fingerboard sits flat on the body.

Good stuff! They are masters of their craft. Scott Travis was such a great add to the band. They've been able to do much more technical stuff with him. Richie is great too.

I see your point, but look at the percentage of "well-to-do" people versus the general public. I still think supply will outpace demand.

They just closed the one near me (Buffalo Grove, IL). Kind of shocking while not shocking at all. I barely ever set foot in a music store anymore. I almost never buy a NEW bass, and I buy strings online.

And Alan's comments bring up something I've been thinking about a lot lately. The bubble is going to burst on things like guitars and muscle cars, and I'm sure a lot of other things. The people who worship these things are getting to the age where they're selling things off or dying. Guitars and cars are outrageously priced right now, but I don't see them as a good investment anymore. Their popularity won't go away completely, but demand will eventually plummet, and so will values. Just my opinion.

Come on Dave. Have you heard what's on the radio these days? Nothing but really shitty pop songs. Generic pulp. AI generated crap.
Sheryl Crow can actually sing, write and play.

100%

"Alarm Clock" could almost be a Garbage song.

As much as I love single pickup basses, and I really do, for me a Ric is not complete without the neck pickup. It's the Pictures Of Home sound, which for me is the epitome of Ric tone.

I know people love their 4000 basses, and rightfully so, but if I had to pick one, it would definitely be neck. Tom Petersson has a cool neck pickup only Ric.

I like it. But... "Nut Butter"? I'm surprised the comments have been so tame thus far.

The story goes JAE bought several Danelectros cos he broke te strings.

He ended up with 3 while recording My Generation, and ultimately ended up using a Jazz Bass with tapewound strings for the final version.

Even as a big Ric nerd, these are of no interest to me, but they'll definitely make some people happy. I wonder how many they'll actually sell after all these years of people wishing for its return? I'm guessing not a lot.

Yeah, that's been the Blackhawks' song for around 15 years now, and I'm tired of it. The video on the other hand...  ;D
